Status Meanings

  • Draft: under active design discussion
  • Experimental: implemented in one or more runtimes, still changing
  • Stable: contract is considered compatible across versions

Conformance Notes

Implementations may support any subset of extensions.

A runtime claiming extension support SHOULD:

  • expose the extension identifier in runtime capability metadata
  • implement the documented schema and failure behavior
  • document resource and policy limits for extension calls
